Volunteer Opportunity
We currently have the following open positions:
1. Member registration coordinator (Membership Team Member)---2 positions
Responsibilities:
- Register new members at monthly seminar
- Manage online new member registration requests
- Coordinate with Finance at membership fee
- Maintain member database
- Manage CPMP Google group and Google office

3. Joomla! Programmer
In order to make our website better, we need more help. The CPMP website is based on PHP-Joomla-MySQL. Our next project is to upgrade it to Joomla 1.5 and at the same time make minor improvements for current Joomla 1.0. For Joomla 1.5 upgrading, we need people involving these tasks for now:
1) Investigate if we need to use any specific template, or just use the default one "rhuk_milkyway". If we need to use specific one, identify the right one to use from about SiteGround provided templates.
2) Download and install Joomla 1.5 SiteGround implementation instance and DB to local PC, and setup DEV/QA environments with local Apache server. Document the process of downloading and configuration.
3) Setup online code repository and change control process (anyone familiar using online CVS, code wiki etc.?)
Anyone has related experience are welcome to join our team in this project. We will share our knowledge and experience and learn a lot of project management in the process.
