What is the troubled project? What do you think about the following project?

(Copied from Automation Centre)
If we have a trouble project, how can we save it? Most of time, people have to learn it in the hard way, fail on the troubled project badly first. Anyone does not want to fall in the project pitfall, they always ask the question, is there any way we can prevent the project going to be trouble or easy way we can turn over the troubled project? Actually, in fact, there are some many ways to prevent the project to be in trouble or turn over the troubled project, but how to utilize those methods and skills into real project is the big thing for anyone who really cares about the project failure.
CPMP is always striving to help any project management professional to improve their knowledge and skills to manage the projects better. In this month, we are honored to have two very success project/program management leaders to present the hand-on workshop on "How to rescue your troubled project". They will teach you the tactic in the practical way rather than just a speech. You will practice the skills during the session. This is a fun-filling interactive workshop. We fully believe you will master some tricks to save a troubled or to be troubled project. Meanwhile, you will earn 3 PDUS.
Frank Tam:
Many organizations are delivering programs and projects to achieve their corporate strategy. According to an international project survey, about 84% of projects fail to meet all project objectives. Thus, professional project managers, who know how to rescue the troubled projects, become key resources for the company success.
This seminar will provide the audience an overview of the troubled projects, real life case study, and best practices to rescue troubled projects in their organization.

Requirements Gathering: The Key to Successful Project Delivery
Here are some statistics to consider, as released by Standish Group's The CHAOS Report:
- 31% of projects will be cancelled early.
- 52.7% of projects will be over budget by an average of 189%
- 83.8% of projects will fail.
- Of the 16.2% of successful projects delivered on time & on budget, on an average get delivered with only 42% of their original features.
Requirements Gathering, the foundation of all project work. Delayed projects and cost over runs are the causality of gaps in requirements gathered. Statistics show that nearly 41 to 56% errors in a project are found in this phase of any project's delivery. There is a great leverage & cost savings in identifying gaps in requirements and finding errors in requirements versus in later stages of the project life-cycle. Yet the issue has remained open and un-resolved.
