Hello CPMP Fellows,
I am sure everyone had enjoyed the great summer and many of you may have also taken the wonderful vacations in the past two months. With the Summer ending and the Fall coming, we will be back to our regular group gathering and I wanted to send a note regarding what the Board has been working on and what are coming in the next several months.
Firstly the new BOD started the project to rebuild our website www.cpmpac.org on July and now it is live with a brand new look and more structural information. As you know, CPMP website not only serves as our essential communication channel but also presents our association and our brand image to the other groups. With the great team's effort, we've re-designed the site's layout and improved the content. We will also add more functions soon, such as online payment for registration, renew and event registration. Here I would like to specially thank Juliet for her great website design and thank Paula, Shelly, Tracy and Daniel for helping the content improvement.
Secondly, CPMP has obtained a Conference bridge sponsored by Telehop Communication Inc. As you know, our BOD and the leadership team are all part-time volunteers and in the past, we have to drive to a coffee shop after work to discuss CPMP plans and prepare the events. Now with the bridge, we can save time, gas and environment yet still can have the effective communication.
Third, we have designed the new professional CPMP banner for our events and it has been produced in a high quality yet low price in China. Thanks Juliet for the professional design and carrying it back from China.
Last but not least, we will have the following events in September:
- September 12, we will have our first face to face BOD meeting to discuss and prepare the events for this year;
- September 18, we will partner with Victoria College to organize a free PDU event on the two topics - PM procurement Management by Meena Kishore and How to utilize PMP and PM skill at work by Jet and Howard;
- September 26, there will be a large seminar with 4 speakers on one of the hottest topics - Agile. The guest speakers are Vijay Chander, Larry Zhou, John Wang and Shenyin.
The preparation for October event and our Christmas/New year party on November will also start soon. I encourage you to visit our website frequently for the latest update. As always, volunteers are welcome and please send an email to volunteer@cpmpac.org if you like contribute to our community.
