Answers:

1. What is the benefit as a member of CPMP?

In the past years, CPMP primarily provided members the monthly seminars to help them continuous development in Project Management field and collecting PDUs if they hold the PMP credential status. In some activities, members got benefit of either free of charge or discounted admission fees.

The CPMP BOD and Volunteers are working hard to provide more services to our members in the new year. Basically we want to help anyone (focus on Chinese people for now) who is interested in the project management and/or wants to make a transition from technical to management career or just want to enhances their management skill to do a better job in the technical field.

We have a lot to do and we'll do it. Because of "not-for-profit", all the work is volunteer based. We are proud of our spirit as well as our work. We encourage you to join us for the good cause.

2. How much for the membership fee?

Currently the membership fee is $20. You would get a receipt for your record or tax return or reimbursement from your employer if applicable.

CPMP is a not-for-profit organization. The membership fee is mainly used to support all Association related infrastructures and activities, such as Government registration, website service subscription (including domain name searching and annually renewal, etc.), Bank account monthly fee, gift for professional trainer who provided free seminar for us, and some small amount supplies for monthly seminar (drink water, stationery, etc.). We have a clear and detailed accounting record with all expenses and reimbursements.

3. How to claim PDU?

The Professional Development Unit (PDU) was established by PMI as the educational metric for project management educational activities. One PDU is earned for each contact hour spent in structured learning, which is relevant to project management.

You can Submit your Activities Reporting Form Online or download the Activities Reporting Form in Adobe PDF format. If you require help submitting your form, please refer to the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Reporting Instructions.
